“The Twist”

Dear Twister Parents:
I am fortunate to have been coaching so long that I am now coaching many of my former athletes' children. I have learned many lessons over the years and most of what I do is because of lessons I have learned the hard way. Our team program is not a "for profit" part of our gymnastics program. We offer Team because we love the sport, we love the children, and we see the value of Team gymnastics. We believe that being on a Team helps to develop positive characteristics that "make a difference" in a child's life and in the decisions they make for the rest of their lives. Parents should never compare their athlete to another Team member; nor should any parent ever talk negatively about another Team member. It hurts our program, it hurts other parents, but most importantly, it hurts our children more than we could ever know. We want our parents to be the ones in the stands sitting together, cheering for these courageous young athletes, praying for and supporting the entire Team. Only when the adults do this, can we expect our children to do this. God will take care of this Team - He always has. Thank you to our parents that have been positive influences in our gym and we ask for your continued prayer and support of our Twister Team.
